We've had better days...

I'm actually writing and keeping up with this! I can't believe it myself. The last couple of days have been crazy! We celebrated Haley's 7th b-day. I can't believe my baby is 7! She has been so good for us since her medication. She and I always tell eachother "I love you more"...and she never used to be like this. She's been an angel. Aleah seems to be having a hard time with school. And to be honest with you, I DON"T BLAME HER! She is in in intermediate school and for some stupid reason they don't have lockers for any of these kids! She has 6 classes and almost every one of them require her to carry around all these books in her bag along with folders and other materials for school. I feel so bad for her. She weighs 85 lbs and she's carrying a bag that weighs like 30 lbs. This school is definitely more strict than her last one. But for love of my mother....give them lockers!! Needless to say she's having a harder time than I thought. Both my kids have been sick this week with Strep Throat, Ear infection, Nasal infection, and recently me on my birthday...The stomach flu. I spent almost my entire birthday in bed...I did not get up until 5:30 pm. I haven't been that sick in I can't even remember! So we've been sick at our house and have definitely had better days. But we are all healthy and better now, and its back to school and work tomorrow.

My sister Lily is running the Saint George Marathon on Oct.1st and so she and her little family are coming down. My sister Yvonne is coming too. YAY! I can't wait to spend some time with everyone! Especially my sisters, and to cheer on Lily! She's going to kick some trash! She always does. After that, Challis and our little family is going to L.A. for a few days to sight see and do some of the things we didn't get to see last year on our Disneyland trip. No Disneyland or Seaworld this time...just a relaxing getaway with almost no plans. We are excited and can't wait. I will update with the marathon and our trip to Cali next post....and maybe even with pictures.

One year later...

Well holy crap! Its been almost a year since my FIRST blog post! Boy has our family had a rough chain of events happen this past year. Where do I begin? Last August, Challis' dad was diagnosed with cancer while on their mission in Brazil. They had to quickly come home because it was terminal. Last Halloween we went to Disneyland and San Diego Zoo for our family vacation and it was a blast! In October Challis took us on our Anniversary to the Grand Canyon...yes we took the kids too! First time ever for me and the girls. Then came Christmas time and it was a special Christmas this last one because we got one last Limburg family picture before Dave passed. He died April 6th, 2011. Just one day after Challis' birthday.

We moved to Bloomington Hills just 6 months ago to be closer to schools and work for me. We are still loving it here in Saint George. I can't imagine living anywhere else. I am still working for Intermountain Healthcare and probably always will. What can I say? I LOVE my job. Kids just started school a couple weeks ago and now they are both in school ALL day and Challis and I are loving it! I finally got the girls into piano lessons. I went out and bought a keyboard and it works perfect, because the girls can practice and they can actually turn it down so Challis can work on the phones in the other room! They are learning so much.

We have had a tough year with our little Haley too. I always knew that she was such an active kid...I could tell she was going to be when she was able to start walking. Anyways...after being to Dr. several times and discussing her behavior with her teacher at school, her Dr. diagnosed her with extreme ADHD and Anxiety. My heart melted to know that my child has a medical condition that I knew nothing about. I won't go in to detail but to sum it up...she stopped sleeping at night, had 2+ hours of temper tantrums over nothing, she would literally hit her face, pinch herself, and purposely hurt herself in any way she could. I was losing sleep at night, especially on the days I had to be at work at 5 am, because she couldn't calm down, but she didn't know what was wrong. It was very heart breaking but also very exhausting at the same time. Her Dr. tried a couple of different meds but nothing seemed to work...and right in the middle of all this while attending a missionary farewell for my nephew, one of my other nephews who i practically raised from birth, called Child Protective Services on us the next day. (Thanks, Christian and Ronald!) Of course after investigating for TWO days, they found NO EVIDENCE or even a case after all the videos of Haley that I recorded of her behavoir, and all the documentation that her Dr. gave them as well as the interview they did with him. They even came to Aleah's school and pulled her out of class to speak to her. My life has been forever changed after that whole experience. You would think that a family member would come and ask whats up with your child before going and making the most horrible accusation like that! We finally found a medication for her for the daytime as well as night and they are working great! Hardly any temper tantrums now, and she seems to focus so much more. Yay!

Those of you that do know me, know that I love my little family more than anything! I have an interest in this blogging business and now more than ever for a few reasons. I stopped writing in my journal when Aleah was a baby...and I used to be very diligent! Also, my sister in law was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer and her husband has started a blog for her journey and it made me think of my blog that I never write in! =) Hope you enjoy things that I write. It may not be the most proper or entertaining blog, but I will tell you that it is %100 me!
